2. Once everything is even and you have gotten your base floor clean, you are ready to move on to the next step.
3. To keep all the planks even to the wall use your tape measure. You will want to measure the longest wall in the room. Use a chalk line as a guide for where you should start. As a test lay down some of the wood planks to see how they line up.
4. Carefully apply an even coat of wood glue to your base flooring. Make sure that it is even and does not clump. Then you are ready to lay your wood planks down starting from the wall and working your way forward.
5. Use the pry bar to help you apply spacers to ensure your expansion gap. Finish by using painters tape to make sure that all of the rows of hardwood are secured in place and let it dry overnight.
